Before beginning classes for our 2nd Semester, we travelled to the Smoky Mountains for our yearly “Snow Trip”. We stayed in the Newland area, travelling to Jonas Ridge Snow Tubing park for a morning of excitement on the slopes. The following day, we made our way to Grandfather Mountain, home of the Mile High Suspension bridge. After browsing through the visitor center, the group braved the fog and cold to traverse the bridge, 5282 feet above sea level! A short hike ended the morning, after stops to admire the view as the fog lifted.

There was plenty of time to fellowship, play games, relax, make honey taffy and have pep talks as we begin the new semester!
